Morning Glass, a San Diego based band, was formed in 1983 during the revival of the surf music genre.  Influenced by the southern California sounds of the Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and the instrumental hits of the Ventures, Morning Glass took their name from the surfing term for the quiet, still seas during the shift in tides.

The band soon began playing regularly at Richards Drive In, and catering to the various car club gatherings throughout the county. In 1985, Morning Glass got local radio exposure after recording “It’s Gonna Be A Surfer’s Christmas” (available for your listening pleasure on You-Tube).      Surfer's Christmas

Today, the band brings back the California sounds, making any event memorable. Whether the band is playing such California favorites as Pipeline, or Surfin’ USA, or classic rock hits as Brown Eyed Girl and Pink Cadillac, you will be assured of top entertainment for the whole family.

Recent events include the Santana High School 1969 Reunion, Cops and Rodders Car Show, Encinitas Rods and Woodies Car Show, San Diego Polo Club Private Party, San Diego Harley Davidson Weekly BBQ, and the Smoking Guns Golf Tournament.

Morning Glass is the official house band of the San Diego Police Historical Association.
